Are my photos uploaded?

No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your images are never sent to our servers, so it also works for private photos.

Which formats can I convert?

Input: HEIC/HEIF, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF (first frame), BMP and SVG. Output: JPG, PNG or WebP.

Is there a file size or count limit?

No fixed limit. Very large images (above about 50 megapixels) can be slow on phones because everything is processed on your device.

Does converting remove location data?

Yes. Converted images are re-encoded without EXIF metadata, so GPS location, camera details and timestamps are removed.
