Privacy policy

Effective 2026-11-05

This policy explains what information Kindly Useful (kindlyuseful.com) collects, why and what choices you have. In short: we collect as little as possible, most tools run entirely in your browser, and advertising is provided by Google.

Information we collect

Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver pages, protect the site against abuse and diagnose errors. We don't use it to identify you.

Secret Santa groups. When you create a draw, we store the information you enter: participant names (first names or nicknames are enough), the group name, date, budget, message and the wishlists participants add. Each participant can only see their own match through a private link. We don't ask for e-mail addresses or phone numbers. Groups are deleted automatically about 45 days after the event date (and at the latest about 14 months after creation). The organizer can delete a group at any time from the organizer page.

Your device only. Some tools remember settings or progress (for example, citizenship test study progress) in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Images. The image converter processes files inside your browser. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform asks for your choices before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choices at any time using the privacy/consent link on the page.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics from Cloudflare to count page views. It doesn't track you across websites.

Children

Our worksheets are intended for parents and teachers. The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Since we hold very little, the quickest way is often to use the tool itself (for example, deleting a Secret Santa group). Otherwise, contact us.
