Civics test mock interview
The question is read aloud like at USCIS. Answer out loud, then check yourself.
How the real civics test works
Practice the way the real test works: the officer reads a question, you answer out loud, then check yourself. For the 2025 test the interview ends when you reach 12 correct answers, or once 9 are missed.
- The test is oral: a USCIS officer reads questions from the official list and you answer in your own words.
- 2025 test: up to 20 questions, 12 correct answers needed. 2008 test: up to 10 questions, 6 correct needed.
- Usually one answer from the list is enough, unless the question asks for more.
- Answers about officials must name the person serving on the day of your interview.
